How many BILLIONS of times in the past 100 years have men hit a ball with a bat, caught a ball in a glove, dunked a ball in a net, thrown a ball to a catcher, run a ball down a field, hit a ball into a hole in the ground, or swatted a ball over a net?
How many BILLIONS of times have crowds screamed and cheered for the very same identical act that has been performed literally a TRILLION TIMES BEFORE? Why is that exciting? Why does it merit entire lifetimes of devotion? Why do we force our children to do this every day of their lives? Why do we spend countless billions of dollars supporting this nonsense?
But there is another nagging question that I have. A suffocating question. Why is SPORTS more important than GOD and the BIBLE and a GODLY LIFE?
Where is the family who spends as much time teaching their children ALL the precepts of the Bible? Where are the CHEERING CROWDS for holiness? Who cheers the man who lays down his life for the gospel of Jesus Christ? Who cheers the young person who prays two hours a day? Who cheers the woman who defiantly refuses to wear the indecent clothes that everybody else in the world wears? Who cheers the girl who refuses to cut her hair because she read in 1 Corinthians 11 that a woman should NOT cut her hair? Who stands up and cheers the young people who utterly refuse to be seduced by Hollywood and a gross, perverted, modern culture, and refuses to dress like them, talk like them, act like them, or think like them?
Where is the cheering crowd for GODLY, HOLY SAINTS of GOD? Why are there not BILLIONS OF DOLLARS and BILLIONS OF HOURS being spent to promulgate the Oneness, Apostolic, Acts 2:38 Pentecostal, Holiness message that is absolutely essential to the saving of this generation's eternal souls?
Go ahead. Keep on being a sports fanatic. Ignore the Bible and the true Gospel. You will see what I am talking about on Judgment Day.
