Ken Raggio: The POPE and the MAN OF SIN

Most prophecy pundits fail to understand exactly what the Bible says about the coming ANTICHRIST. Many people call the POPE the Antichrist. Some people refer to the FIRST BEAST of Revelation 13 as the Antichrist. And many apply "The Antichrist" to the Man of Sin (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4), the Son of Perdition, the Little Horn, the King of the North, "that wicked one," and other titles.

There is a MAJOR, MAJOR problem in identifying "the Antichrist" while confusing these THREE DIFFERENT characters.

1. The Beast (a European-based, 10-horned, world government of the last days)

2. The False Prophet (the Papal Roman Catholic Church, based in Rome)

3. The Assyrian Man of Sin (based in Jerusalem, committing the Abomination of Desolation).

The Bible NEVER ONCE calls any particular character "THE ANTICHRIST." That phrase never once appears in the Bible. In fact, ALL THREE of these characters are very much ANTICHRISTS.

The BEAST and the FALSE PROPHET will rule the world at the time of Jesus' return. The MAN OF SIN will play a pivotal role IN ISRAEL - but he will NOT be a world ruler. The role of the Man of Sin is to commit the Abomination of Desolation in the Third Temple on the Holy Mount in Jerusalem. See: Daniel Chapter 11 - Where the Man of Sin will come from.

THEREFORE...

It is ENORMOUSLY significant that the POPE of the Roman Catholic Church is making OVERTURES to the most powerful Islamic figures in the world today. Pay close attention:

In December, 2014, Pope Francis attended the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, one of the world's largest Islamic mosques. Accompanied by the powerful Muslim Mufti, who quoted verses from the Koran to him, the pope removed his shoes and spent two minutes in prayer facing Mecca, home of Islam and the so-called "Prophet" Muhammad.

Francis followed the example of Pope Benedict XVI who did the same thing in November, 2006. What's the deal? WHY are the POPES of the Roman Catholic Church praying toward MECCA?????

Let's start with the fact that the Roman Catholic Church is the GREAT WHORE of Revelation 16-18. She fornicates with all the kings and great men of the earth (Revelation 17:2-4; 18:3-9). She is the Mother of Abominations in the earth (17:5). Obviously, the Popes feel their need to fornicate with Islam in order to appease them - to ameliorate the relationship between Islam and Catholicism.

Francis' first order of business on his visit to Ankara and Istanbul was to meet with Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and express his solidarity with Islam. He said, “Fanaticism and fundamentalism, as well as irrational fears which foster misunderstanding and discrimination, need to be countered by the solidarity of all believers.”

At the Blue Mosque, Francis said, "It is essential that all citizens – Muslim, Jewish and Christian – both in the provision and practice of the law, enjoy the same rights and respect the same duties... They will then find it easier to see each other AS BROTHERS AND SISTERS who are travelling THE SAME PATH," (emphasis mine). Lest we forget - ISLAM is NOT traveling the same path as either Jews or Christians. Jews and Christians are descendants of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob. Islam claims its roots in ISHMAEL. God said, "In ISAAC shall thy seed be called," Genesis 21:21.

The PROPHETIC SIGNIFICANCE of Francis' endeavors is potentially breath-taking. The scriptures clearly teaches than an ASSYRIAN MAN OF SIN will stand in the Temple Mount some day soon, and he will eventually be crushed by Jesus Christ when He comes (Isaiah 14:24-27, 2 Thessalonians 2:3-5.

I believe that the Roman Catholic Church will finally install the Assyrian Man of Sin in Jerusalem as a Catholic-compliant Muslim, there to rule Jerusalem in behalf of the international community. Is it possible that someone like Erdogan might be the Pope's choice?? Don't forget what I have said. Whether of not it is Erdogan, there WILL be an Assyrian (from the region of Turkey, Syrian, Iran) on the Temple Mount soon.
