| Abbas Wants To Retire |
Abu Mazen wants to retire. The President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, affectionately known by Arabs as Abu Mazen is now 80 years old. He does not want his name to run in the next election. WHO WILL REPLACE HIM?
This is a critical juncture for the so-called (de facto) "State of Palestine." Now in the 10th year of a 4-year elected term, Abbas has been the champion of the "peace" talks between the P.A. and the State of Israel. But they have failed. Miserably.
Abbas' ratings in the polls have dropped to 16% favor, plummeting from the last awful poll of 22%. He can't control Hamas, Hezbollah, or any of the other troublemakers who wrestle with him over every move he makes. The Peace Talks have been almost totally abandoned. The U.N. Quartet is virtually silent. Tony Blair has resigned as the spokesman of the Quartet. France has recently backed away from its ambition to present a U.N. Resolution to the Security Counsel that would unilaterally declare a Palestinian State.
Conspicuously, however, while it APPEARS that the "State of Palestine" is losing cohesiveness and international support, there HAS been one, powerful endorsement for them recently, and that came from none other than the Roman Catholic Church, and Pope Francis.

On May 14, 2015, the Vatican Press Office, and
"The Bilateral Commission of the Holy See
and the State of Palestine"
announced that the text of a formal agreement between
the Vatican and the (officially non-existent) State of Palestine
has been finalized and that "the work of the Commission
on the text of the Agreement has concluded."
A Plenary Session, held at the Vatican, brought together
the principal delegates of both the Holy See and the Palestinians.

So the world is getting mixed signals about Palestine. Is it going to become a State, or is it going to fail? The Roman Catholic Church is probably going to play the trump card in this stalemate. According to Bible prophecies in Revelation 13, a European-based World Government BEAST, under the influence of a Roman Catholic FALSE PROPHET POPE will soon become the ultimate powerbrokers.
"And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:
and in the midst of the week he shall cause
the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,
and for the overspreading of abominations
he shall make it desolate,
even until the consummation,
and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."

This one verse alone does not stand alone. Other verses in Isaiah 14 and Daniel 11, reveal that a powerful Muslim from Assyrian will soon take CENTER-STAGE in Jerusalem. And knowing how the World Government and the Catholic Church now hold deciding votes in the future of Israel, it is increasingly clear that the United Nations and the Pope will soon install that Assyrian Muslim as governor of a Muslim-controlled East Jerusalem, in a newly-declared State of Palestine. The BEAST and the FALSE PROPHET will cause the MAN OF SIN to rise to power, and commit the prophesied Abomination of Desolation.
Mahmoud Abbas may be the pivotal figure in its destiny. Palestine needs a NEW LEADER if it is to effectively move forward with its anti-Israel, statehood agenda. If Abbas resigns, retires, or fails to be re-elected...
Will the next P.A. President be the PROPHESIED "MAN OF SIN" mentioned in Daniel 9:27?
I cannot say for absolute certain. But one thing I know: The Bible explicitly tells us that there will be a MAN OF SIN who will come to power in Jerusalem, and he will be a rabid foe of Israel. Daniel 9:27 and 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 tell us that he will stand in the Third Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and commit the Abomination of Desolation that will permanently exile Israel from the Temple Mount (until Jesus returns.)
Is it possible that whoever replaces Mahmoud Abbas, now 80 years old, as the new President of the upcoming State of Palestine will be that long-prophesied Man of Sin.
He will be the LITTLE HORN of Daniel 7-8. He will be the ASSYRIAN of Isaiah 14:24-27. He will be the MAN OF SIN and SON OF PERDITION, of 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4.
And He will commit the Abomination of Desolation of Daniel 9:27 and Matthew 24:15. He will cast the Jews out of the Third Temple, and will trigger the final 42 months that Jesus called GREAT TRIBULATION.
Will ABBAS' successor be that Man of Sin? In my humble opinion, this is a game that everyone should watch closely. Wait and see. Time will tell.
